Living
Had my knee surgery the end of June just a repair job. Less pain almost have full mobility of my right knee. Having trouble with arthritis but learning to adjust, a somewhat different life style. I'm a little grumpy about the whole idea and physical problems with aging. Still amazed that 70+ years have already passed. Bob is safe in the States, all my kids are safe. It's summer, my kind of summer. Living each day and not worrying about the future although plans need to be made and considered. Enjoy the day and place I'm in, share that joy with others. Praise Him and give thanks. He is faithful and in control.

Starting at 5pm last night I've had a strange day. As I left work my car was making a horrible loud sound. I pulled off the freeway, called my car service and got an appointment for 7:15am this morning. This place is just north of Oregon City. So on 205 at 6:45am only took wrong exit and had to back track. As it turn out it was brakes that had gotten soaked at the car wash the morning before. So I had them change the oil. Then started north on 217 and got into a traffic jam. I ended up being a only a hour late. I prayed for the car that whatever was wrong I could afford it, I prayed I could get in to the service center, I prayed for a safe journey home and to the service center, I prayed I found the place. I also misplaced my debit card. I'm at work safe and sound so was my card. Isn't it amazing how He is in control Phil 4:6-8 says "don't worry, pray about everything, and your heart and mind will be guarded and have peace. Amen

I had my cataract surgery Monday and all went well. Light is white and the sky is so very blue. If you didn't know your natural lens becomes discolored with time. Just like a newspaper turns yellow so does the eye lens, so blue gets a green tint and etc. Not only is color and light crystal clear, I don't need glasses for distance and I can thread a needle easily again. This is such a miracle. I know skill, training, tech, and dedicated people make it happen, but that creativity comes from the Creator of all as we are made in His image. I had my other eye done about 5 years ago and you would think I wouldn't have had been so awed. We are truly blessed.

Gosh! such a wonderful day. Sun, green/flowers, a breeze from the Pacific. Spring is here tomorrow. I'm having cataract surgery Monday 22nd and my knee surgery has finally been scheduled for May 28th, so you can guess what I'll be doing Memorial Day Weekend. Certainly will be glad to have it fixed. It's arthroscopic so it should be a quick recovery. Won't have an excuse for being lazy. Bob is back in the states, yahoo! In fact he is visiting Jenny in Texas. Thanks for your prayer, God is good.

Depending on God.
The knee hasn't improved, if anything it hurts more. If doing any walking at all, like shopping, I can only last about 15 minutes. It feels like the upper and lower leg bones are grinding on each other. I don't see the surgeon until March 11 and then a decision will be made. This has been going on for a year and half. So I whine, groan and limp. Then a picture of the trapped and hurt in Haiti comes to mind. Count my blessings and believe He is in control. Bob is back in the desert, he arrived safe, but is extremly cold. Keep him and his team lifted. We've had a few beautiful spring like days with sunshine. The air is so fresh, the earth lush with green and life. A couple Humming Birds show up every morning to drink nectuar, they never complain. My cat Jade sits by the window and wishes she could join the feast. So I pray and believe and hope, thankful that my God cares. Many have volunteered to help me, why is it so hard except that love and generousity? Pride, I think. So this humbled person gives up and I'll depend on Him and his-
